Space Policy Analyst
Description
Provide technical, analytic, and managerial support to include organizing and facilitating executive services to facilitate meetings as well as technology and business practices focused working groups. Assist in the development of a DoD-wide space cadre plan synchronizing Services activities and conduct analysis on work force. Develop responses to Congressionally Directed Space Cadre and Space Industrial Base taskings. Provide analytic support for National Security Space Architectures and Program Assessment projects.
Location
Washington, DC, area.
Education and Experience
Master’s or higher degree in policy-related field desirable. Directly related experience can be substituted for degree requirements. Five to ten years of experience in or directly supporting DoD in force development or industrial work force issues.
Qualifications
In-depth understanding of DoD staffing processes and applicable National Security and Space guidance and policy. Ability to understand, interpret, and translate technical information into clear, concise technical summaries, briefings, and documents. Ability to facilitate discussions and coordinate activities relating to technical matters across a diverse range of technical experts and representatives from National Security and Space community. Familiarity with broader NSS issues and programs. Skill level – senior range.
Required
Must be US Government Security Clearance Eligible. Flexibility for travel.
