Military Operations Analyst

Description

Provide on-site operational support to the JNWC Warfighter Support Division. The JNWC addresses GPS/Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Electronic Protection, Electronic Support, and Electronic Attack capabilities by conducting field evaluations, supporting PNT vulnerability and opportunity aspects of current operations and operations planning, and integrates Navigation Warfare (Navwar) activities across DoD, interagency, and coalition organizations. Apply military background and experience to collaboration and cooperation with Service and COCOM IO/EW and Navwar communities including outreach to training and exercise venues, weapons system-specific conferences, forces integration, operational and contingency planning support, development of concepts of operations, and some direct support to current operations and interagency incident response and anomaly resolution. Provide JNWC â€œreach backâ€ support to in-theater Space and EW operators and the GPS Operations Center. Travel requirement: moderate (typically 70 days per year).

Kirtland AFB (Albuquerque), NM.

Education and Experience

BS or BA degree. Eight to 10 years of experience in related operational field.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has recent Army (ground environment) operational experience with GPS-dependent systems.

Required

Must be US Government Security Clearance Eligible. Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications. General knowledge of military tactical and operational level of warfare, preferably US Army and/or Joint operations.

Desired

Prior military operations/combat arms background. Familiarity with US Army/joint operations centers, operational planning processes, training, and/or field exercise planning, and GPS-dependent systems. Electronic Warfare experience a plus. Prior military operations/combat arms background.
