GPS Anti-Tamper Engineer (CA11-03)
Description
Plan and execute anti-tamper development and sustainment activities for the protection of critical program information and military critical technologies embodied in military Global Positioning System (GPS) Precise Positioning Service (PPS) User Equipment (UE) and Selective Availability Anti-Spoofing Module (SAASM). Assist in development of anti-tamper requirements, processes, and methodologies to implement GPS Protection of Navigation (PRONAV) in GPS PPS UE. Support establishment of PRONAV security certification infrastructure and execution of PRONAV security certification process. Identify anti-tamper security risks and develop mitigation strategies. Perform technical analysis of contractor-developed anti-tamper solutions for GPS PPS UE, including the allocation of security requirements to hardware and/or software, and evaluate artifacts for compliance with Government anti-tamper security requirements. Review contractor anti-tamper verification and validation plans, and witness contractor testing as needed. Review contractor attack and countermeasure trees for anti-tamper validation. Draft, compile, and submit evaluation reports and recommendations to the Government upon completion of anti-tamper security evaluations. Interpret and apply DoD Anti-Tamper Policy, DoD GPS Security Policy, and related security guidance documents.

Education and Experience
BS Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science plus 10 years of relevant experience or MS Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science plus 5 years of relevant experience.
Qualifications
Technical knowledge of anti-tamper techniques. Understanding of reverse engineering techniques. Expertise in performing design and product technical evaluations to determine compliance with anti-tamper security requirements. Experience in DoD system security engineering, security evaluation processes, and anti-tamper verification and validation. Experience with security threat, vulnerability, and risk assessments.
