Configuration/Data Manager (CO18-03)


Description

Candidate analyzes proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system. Coordinates modification records for management control. Establishes change orders and prepares for change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractor. Prepares reports of change effect on overall product. Reviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities. Ensures that customer requirements are implemented and reviews change accounting activity to ensure compliance with configuration management policies This position is on the GPS Control Segment Sustainment contract as a Technical Order team member. Configuration/data managers bring product documentation (technical orders and engineering drawings) resulting from operational changes or maintenance actions into accountability/control and effect delivery to the customer. The candidate will maintain records in the Windchill PDMLink change management system. Scope involves writing work instructions, documenting processes used by team members, and assisting users with document and change management processes within Windchill for Technical Orders using Arbortext, AutoCAD drawings, DoD Specifications, and other deliverable documentation. Configuration/data managers meet scheduled due dates for deliveries, monitor status of projects to ensure documentation is submitted according to schedule, and review and verify documents for completeness, format, and compliance with contract requirements. Position will involve associated courier, media creation, documentation custodian, and miscellaneous administrative tasks.

Colorado Springs, CO, area.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education.

Qualifications

Knowledge and use of the Windchill PDMLink change management system and the Microsoft Office tools suite, including Visio. Two years of office management and administrative experience.

Required

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to be flexible in a dynamic environment. Ability to work in a team environment or independently as required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance.

Desired

Previous technical knowledge of the GPS Space Segment and GPS Control Segment, with previous GPS configuration management/data management experience
