Description: The US STRATCOM, Global Strike Capabilities Division leads the Command's advocacy efforts for the Global Strike mission area.  The division performs a broad range of warfare analyses and capability assessments to support strategic guidance, long range planning, policy reviews, technology working group reviews and budgeting/funding/Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution System (PPBE) reviews for global strike weapon systems.

The Nuclear Enterprise Strategic Management Analyst position will provide Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) to support the Nuclear Enterprise Strategic Management.

Position support will include nuclear force requirement and recapitalizations studies, National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) complex transformation, Joint Capabilities Integration Development System (JCIDS) products, Program Objective Memorandum (POM) and acquisition recommendations, the 2009 Quadrennial Defense Review (QDR), the 2009 Nuclear Posture Review (NPR), Senior Warfighter Forums (SWarFs) and OPLAN/CONPLAN development.

Position:  Nuclear Command and Control Analyst

Description: United States Strategic Command’s nuclear mission requires robust information systems and flexible, survivable nuclear command and control (NC2) to support force planning and execution and to ensure connectivity with globally deployed nuclear forces.  To this end, USSTRATCOM will perform an end to end review of the NC2 systems.

The Nuclear Command and Control Analyst position will provide Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) support for the NC2 end to end review, ensuring the proper planning, definition, implementation, and operational management of global communications systems to yield more effective and flexible global mission support.

Position:  Systems Engineer - GPS SE&I System Protection Engineering (Navigation)

Position Number:  LA08-100-01


Description:  Provide expertise to the Global Positioning Systems (GPS) Host Application Equipment Security Approval Process and Key Data Processor sustainment and development activities as the technical lead.  Work with a small integrated product team supporting primarily GPS Selective Availability Anti-Spoofing Module (SAASM) design requirements for system protection.  Attend technical design reviews and interchange meetings on a frequent basis.  Local travel 2 plus days per week will be required.

Position:  Information Assurance Engineer
- GPS SE&I System Protection Engineering (Navigation)

Duties

1.      Conduct system security activities necessary to ensure effective system security planning and execution in support of GPS Space, Control, and User Segments

2.      Ensure information assurance (IA) strategies for GPS Segments integrate into cohesive system-level GPS IA strategy

3.      Review detailed IA artifacts from prime contractors for DIACAP compliance; review and provide inputs to certification and accreditation documents, activities, and meetings with respect to how mission systems implement specific IA controls

4.      Review security test plans and reports to ensure adequate verification of design and implementation of IA solutions

5.      Review physical and logical architectures and technical specifications developed by prime contractors verifying satisfaction of IA requirements at acceptable level of risk

6.      Communicate engineering requirements and integrate technical efforts among GPS Wing, Air Force Cryptologic Security Group (CPSG), and National Security Agency (NSA) to facilitate on-time delivery of properly designed and produced Communications Security (COMSEC) products

7.      Assist in development of GPS Protection of Navigation (PRONAV) IA requirements, processes, and methodologies; support establishment of PRONAV security certification infrastructure and execution of PRONAV security certification process

Qualifications

1.      Expertise in Information Assurance (IA) and Information Systems Security Engineering (ISSE)

2.      Knowledge of Computer Security, Network Security, Communications Security (COMSEC), and Information Systems Security (INFOSEC)

Education & Years Experience

Required:  BS Engineering or Computer Science plus 10 years relevant experience; or MS Engineering or Computer Science plus 5 years relevant experience

Certifications

Desired:  Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or other similar systems security or information assurance professional credentials

Security Clearance

Required:  Active Secret clearance, US citizenship; eligible for Special Access Program (SAP) access

Desired:  Active Top Secret clearance; eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access
